…on the road again in 2022
We were so very excited to get on the road again! Little did we know that we would run into one problem after another to get out the door. First, we discovered that we had a broken leaf spring hanger and bent axle. Then, we needed to replace a tire. What about water pressure? Ours was truly lacking! Are we going to be able to pull it all together and leave at our scheduled departure date/time? Who knew that all of these problems would creep up on us and impact our ability to get back on the road.
We don’t have many photos as, honestly, we were just working hard to “get out of Dodge”! But, once we were back on the road we were so happy to be in our RV and traveling that we were able to celebrate this success with a smoked Manhattan to celebrate the beginning of our 2022 journey. Life is truly what you make it! How do you handle problems that arise while traveling?
Smoked Manhattan Recipe: (Smoke as per instructions on the smoker)
2 ounces bourbon or rye
3–4 dashes Angostura aromatic bitters
1/2 teaspoon maple syrup
orange peel
ice
